Notice for Review Requests

I receive review requests weekly. However, my personal schedule is hectic and I no longer review actively. (I also manage another blog called The Toronto Cafe and Food Blog). I do read every request sent but I apologize in advance that I do not reply to them all.

If I do take on a request, I will forewarn that it may take some time before I can review it. I am now looking to review adult fiction and self-help books instead of young adult fiction because I have grown out of it. If you are to request a review for either adult fiction or self-help, I will more likely to give it a shot.

In the meantime, Stop, Drop, and Read! serves as an archive book review blog. When I have the time, I may post a review. Thank you for understanding.

Q4U: What book would you like to see turn into a movie?

Q4U (Question 4 U) is a feature on Stop, Drop, and Read! that appears on random days. A question is asked for you to answer, where it could range from getting feedbacks for the blog to a start of a fun topic!

So many hit novels generally become a movie sooner or later. However, there are many books out there that would never be on the big screen.

What book would you like to see turn into a movie?

This is considering the movie will be made with the best of quality, from scenery to characters.

I would love love love to see Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon or Eon by Alison Goodman as a movie. Both have oriental features (which I love) but great action and plot too that would play out extremely well in a film. They also have amazing mythical elements that would be such a eyecandy for the audience.

What about you?

LOLOL. Your comment is almost eerily timeless because just yesterday, I made a post in which I casted the characters from Malinda Lo's Ash with Asian actors. :D (Which makes my answer to this post predictable, but oh well.) So I would most definitely want a Ash movie. The idea of Silver Phoenix being made into a movie sounds great too!

Totally agree with Silver Phoenix...I'd also really love to see Rampant by Diana Peterfreund as a movie, because watching killer unicorns would be awesome ;)

I would love to see Along for the Ride or Just Listen by Sarah Dessen made into a film. Along the lines of fantasy I would love to see Graceling by Kristin Cashore or Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill made into a movie.

I totally agree on Silver Pheonix. I would also love to see Eyes Like Stars made into a movie. It's such a visual book that I think it would do well on screen. I'm looking forward to see how The Hunger Games turns out as a movie too.

Ash and Silver Phoenix would be amazing movies! For the 'make you cry because they are so beautiful movie' I would go with Marcelo in the Real World. For the hysterical because it's so true and that's sad I would go with Whale Talk. And I would love to see Liar made into a movie, totally unpredictable!

And for cute chick lit I would say It Chicks by Tia williams
