Notice for Review Requests

I receive review requests weekly. However, my personal schedule is hectic and I no longer review actively. (I also manage another blog called The Toronto Cafe and Food Blog). I do read every request sent but I apologize in advance that I do not reply to them all.

If I do take on a request, I will forewarn that it may take some time before I can review it. I am now looking to review adult fiction and self-help books instead of young adult fiction because I have grown out of it. If you are to request a review for either adult fiction or self-help, I will more likely to give it a shot.

In the meantime, Stop, Drop, and Read! serves as an archive book review blog. When I have the time, I may post a review. Thank you for understanding.

Why I Let My Hair Grow Out by Maryrose Wood
Ballad of a Shinigami vol. 1 by Asuka Izumi and K-Ske Hasegawa
Broken Blade vol. 1 by Yunosuke Yoshinaga
CMX Summer Preview 2009
Emma vol. 1 by Kaoru Mori
Genghis Khan: To the Ends of the Earth and Sea by Nakaba Higurashi and Seiichi Morimura
Venus Cappriccio vol. 1-2 by Mai Nishikata

I have already reviewed Emma back in April so you can click here to see its review. It's a lovely manga based in Victorian England about a sweet maid named Emma who falls in love with the aristocrat named William.

Also, already reviewed Why I Let My Hair Grow Out! I absolutely love this novel and am so glad to get my own copy (signed too!). Reading it a year later, IT IS STILL AN AMAZING, LAUGH-OUT-LOUD READ! You can see one of my older reviews of it
here. Yea, not the best review but still a fab novel!

I want to give a shout-out to a new fellow blogger! Check out Reggie at
The Undercover Book Lover (Not Really)! She critique her reviews with precision and will definitely go far in the blogging world! Welcome!

Edit: Mrs. Magoo Reads is hosting an amazing contest to win 9 YA novels! She has a great blog and you should definitely follow! Click here for the contest!

Stop by tomorrow for the first post of Stop, Drop, and Read!'s blogoversary!!

Ooh Venus Cappriccio. I've read a little bit and want to buy them- but can't find them anywhere. I've been wondering about Why I Let My Hair Grow Out. Maybe I'll go see if I can get it from my library if you like it so much...
