Notice for Review Requests

I receive review requests weekly. However, my personal schedule is hectic and I no longer review actively. (I also manage another blog called The Toronto Cafe and Food Blog). I do read every request sent but I apologize in advance that I do not reply to them all.

If I do take on a request, I will forewarn that it may take some time before I can review it. I am now looking to review adult fiction and self-help books instead of young adult fiction because I have grown out of it. If you are to request a review for either adult fiction or self-help, I will more likely to give it a shot.

In the meantime, Stop, Drop, and Read! serves as an archive book review blog. When I have the time, I may post a review. Thank you for understanding.

How to Survive a Horror Movie by Seth Grahame-Smith (Foreword by Wes Craven)

Title: How to Survive Horror Movie
Author: Seth Grahame-Smith (Foreword by Wes Craven)
Age Group: Teens
# of Pages: 175
My Rating: 5/5

Are you in the middle of a cemetery at midnight and something from the shadows just moved in the corner of your eyes? Are you in Japan with freaky little children staring at you from across the street of an abandoned home? Sorry to say, but you are likely stuck in a horror movie! Worry not! How to Survive a Horror Movie is the guide that will help you out of this terror alive! ...Well, unless you are that stupid to do the things that it tells you NOT to do. Then good luck on the other side! Maybe you will finally get your chance to scare the living lights of that bully who tortured you back in elementary school.

Packed with famous horror movie references and witty monster defenses, this is something that anyone can enjoy! When I first found it on the floor of my cousin's cousin's room, the title popped out on me. I picked it up and was totally hooked from beginning to end. It is like reading another teen's diary who has a great sense of humour. I was so into it that I finished it in one day, neglecting the other books I had to review! How to protect yourself from the undead to surviving your slasher summer, this book has all the useful tips that horror movie victims need! I totally recommend it, even if you think you are not in one. Oh! Be careful and don't look behind you...

I would love this as my friends and I have a highly developed system for survival in a horror movie. (At the very least, check if the gun is loaded.)
